LAPP w Niemczech dostrzegł potrzebę dostosowania poziomu obsługi polskich klientów do standardów obowiązujących w firmie LAPP na całym świecie. W efekcie zapadła decyzja o utworzeniu w Polsce samodzielnej placówki ze 100% kapitałem firmy LAPP. W ten sposób w maju 2000 roku rozpoczęła działalność firma LAPP KABEL Sp. z o.o.
